Gary Kawesch, MD graduated with the highest Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors from Yale University, getting his degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. He then went on to get his medical degree at the UCLA School of Medicine, again with the highest Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He completed his internship in internal medicine at USC’s Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, and his ophthalmology residency at the UCLA’s Jules Stein Eye Institute.

For over 18 years, Dr. Kawesch was one of the foremost ophthalmic surgeons in the US; he helped develop some of the techniques and instruments in the early to mid 1990’s which later became part of the LASIK procedure. Over the years, Dr. Kawesch has consulted with and was a team doctor for seven professional sports teams in California. He worked with the Oakland Raiders for 22 years on their medical staff, traveling with the team to all games. After performing nearly 70,000 surgical procedures, a hand injury forced Dr. Kawesch to retire from surgical practice.

After evaluating different paths within health care, Dr. Kawesch found anti-aging medicine and bio-identical hormone replacement to be an area which, like refractive eye surgery in the 1990’s, is emerging as a profoundly life changing way to help people. He retrained with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and has now dedicated the second chapter of his career to helping men increase their vitality, lifespan and overall health span. He currently sits on the Advisory Board at Renew Vitality Testosterone Clinic.

In his free time, Dr. Kawesch is passionate about photography, hiking, scuba diving, traveling, and cars.
